Winifred Wheeler often known to her clients as "Winkie" is a counselor with twenty years of experience in the field of addiction treatment. Winifred is passionate about her work. As she states, "I am honored to help broken people heal; I am grateful to participate in the making of miracles, every day." She works with individuals, couples and parents affected by addictions, co-dependency, childhood trauma and dysfunction. She encourages the use of 12-step programs where indicated, and utilizes traditional and intuitive psychotherapy to support the healing process. Winifred has a Masters degree in Addictions Counseling and is a Certified Experiential Therapist. She began her career as a therapist at the Caron Foundation in Wernersville, PA.

PHILADELPHIA, JUNE 6, 2014: The Caron Treatment Centers presented their 14th annual Greater Philadelphia Community Service Awards. Winifred Wheeler was honored with the very first Chairman Emeritus Award for her unique 20-year contribution to the field of addiction treatment. The Caron Awards pay tribute in a tangible and meaningful way to individuals, organizations and institutions that have made an outstanding contribution in the ongoing battle against alcohol and drug addiction in the community.
